well...
we're older than we've ever been.
it's a sad day when you have to whip out one of these to light the candles. or a funny day. whichever way you look at it I guess. In our house it was very funny.
Derek and
Easton made me my favorite cake and took me to lunch for my big
2-6.
It was a good day of bumming around with my boys. And thanks to all who called and sent gifts. I feel so loved! To those of you who forgot... I would be happy to accept apologies and late presents. :)

Derek b-day is a few days after mine and so notice the re-use of the b-day candles. we are just trying to do our part to save the
environment. We
DO live in Oregon you know. gotta be green.
HE didn't want a cake... so he got a Boston Cream Pie. Which is basically a cake, but they call it pie. I don't really understand that, but it still tasted delicious. And technically it wasn't cake. right???
It was Derek's idea to flip the 6 candle and turn it into a 9. He's clever. even in his old age.

This is the best present he got:
(I got one too, just not on film...)

Does this make him a grown-up? yes. yes it does. But I have to say... he looks really good in it.

Ames party of three.
