Back from whence it came...

I bet you thought I was talking about the owl didn't you???

Some of you might have even been hoping, but no-- sorry. I still love the little guy despite mixed reviews. It just goes to show that beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. Truthfully, I think I love it even more now that he is a controversial conversation piece.

Actually, I wanted to say that I cleaned out mine and Derek's closet and I can't believe how good it feels. I tend to hold on to clothes hoping to reinvent them with new styles... and even some the I hope to reinvent my body into looking good in again. *sigh* Well, I never realized how bogged down I was. I took a huge load to Goodwill and gave some away to friends and I feel fantastic. Every time I open it and see everything all organized and color coordinated it just makes me feel so happy. I know it's dorky. But hey I'm the girl with a bronzed owl on her bookshelf, remember?

Now I have room for lots more... anyone want to go shopping?

ME!!!!!!!!!!!
Can I say you just, totally "geeked out" on us about the closet! But I can totally relate. When I look at my stack of neatly folded (with a folding board!) sweaters on my shelf in the closet, I too feel so happy!

It really does feel good to get rid of clothes you really don't wear anymore. It's amazing how much one can accumulate. Bravo for taking the plunge and getting rid of stuff! Too bad I don't live closer, I could have rummaged up some good finds I think!!

P.S. I think the only reason you bought that owl was to make people wonder why you bought an owl.

I almost started crying when I read your post about Easton growing up. I know exactly what you are saying. I freaked when Ashlee turned 10 this year, she's over half way done living at home! I completely believe in getting as many hugs, kisses, snuggles, family time, as I can before my kids grow out of the "mom is cool" stage.

Hey, I have a question for you! I noticed you have that website that makes your blogs into books on your list. Have you tried it? If so, do they do a good job?

Your family is so cute! I love reading your blog. You are such an entertaining writer!
