I am not into chotchskies or nick knacks... but this little one has lived happily on my bookshelf for a couple weeks (unnoticed by Mr. Ames until today) and now Derek think I am turning into a Grandma. (no offense to old people with lots of knick knacks...)
so please help me convince him this owl is fabulous before he buys me a curio cabinet.

ARE YOU KIDDING? ARE THEY (above) KIDDING? OF course I would buy it!!! Too bad he didn't come in a set, would've made lovely bookends. Not everything has to come from Potterybarn or IKEA- though they hold their own treasures indeed!

I would not buy it for my home, but that is because it is not my style. With that said, everyone has their own style and if you like it and its a good deal I say buy it!
My dear sweet sister; Here's my 2cents worth.... I'm not a fan, sorry. I think he looks a little mean. No sure WOOOO would buy him but I think he was at good will for a reason!
I'm inclined to agree with Shelbs and you, char. He wouldn't go in any room, but a well placed knick knack has its place. Bookshelf,classic.

I think it would look great on Halloween night with your beautiful candle stick you spray painted (that I want). You never know what treasure your going to find at the Goodwill.

Like someone else said, not everything has to come from PB or IKEA. Soon, everyone's homes start to look the same. So, I think it's great. Plus, YOU like it. That's what matters, right?
Break out the curio cabinet! I think you need a Goodwill intervention. Yes, I 'm just the one to give it! This calls for a trip to Forest Grove. (ah dreaming again!)
